What is “the Bridge”?

The Bridge is an area that includes the acclaimed Bridge Academy, an arid desert, towering Mount Joe, a quaint village, a dense jungle, and a forest filled with towering trees. And, of course, it is home to the children who attend Mrs. H’s class in Bridge Academy, Room 1122.

It’s a strange name for an area—“The Bridge.” Long ago, when the first explorers passed through, they encountered a raging river and had to build a bridge. This bridge proved so useful that it was recorded in the journals of famous explorers. Over time, it became well known and was used as a main passage by other explorers and settlers as they expanded to distant lands. The name stuck, and that is why, even though the river has long since dried up and the bridge has long fallen down, the area is still known as “The Bridge.”
